Summer Stage Programs

Two-week Musical Theatre Production - June 17 through June 28, 2019 and July 8 through July 18, 2019

This unique and exhilarating summer theatre camp is designed for talented actors, singers and dancers with all experience levels. You will work on an adapted musical from its early stages of development to its premiere performance. Rehearsals with the director, musical director, and choreographer take place from 8:30AM to 4PM, Monday through Friday. You also may have the chance to learn various technical aspects of production such as costuming, props, and set construction. Please note that the last day camp ends at 7PM after our performance.

You will audition on the first day of camp, which will require 16-bars from any song from a musical of your choice or a song from the chosen show. You will also learn some choreography and participate in a read-through of the show. Our summer 2019 shows look to be as innovative and high-spirited as our past productions like Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast. Every actor will have a part and every actor will sing, although some parts are more demanding than others, and not every actor will have a singing solo.

Production #1 Great Moments on Broadway June 17 – 28, 2019

This production is for rising 4th through 10th grades. Performance is Friday, June 28th at 5PM (open to the public)

Great Moments on Broadway is a compilation of some of the greatest songs, characters, and stories from the history of the American Musical Theatre. We will be selecting songs, scenes, and group numbers tailor-made for each of our participants, allowing each performer to be the star in their own segment. We will be bringing in industry professionals in acting, improv, singing, dance, casting, and more, to augment our core teachers, providing a valuable introduction to the world of live performance. All of this will culminate in a final fully staged performance where each participant has their moment on center stage.

Production #2 Elf The Musical JR July 8 – 19, 2019

This production is for rising 2nd through 10th grades. Performance is Friday, July 19th at 5PM (open to the public)

A title known the world over, Elf The Musical JR. is a must-produce holiday musical that can easily become an annual tradition for any theatre. Based on the cherished New Line Cinema hit, Elf JR. features songs by Tony Award-nominees, Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin, with a book by Tony Award-winners, Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin.
